Description

Hard plastic box plus 30 wooden spools, most of which are wound with various colored thread. The box is mostly clear plastic but in an obscure rectangle on the top are the words "Tidee Maid thread box patent pending". The bottom of the box has 14 upright spines over which spools can be inserted. Two of the spines are broken off. Opposite each spine is a slot through which thread can be led and which line up with a metal piece on the top that will cut the thread. Inside the box are the following: 4 Coats & Clark spools shades 65, 18-a, 49, and 27; 6 Corticelli spools shades 1978, 1413, 1153, 1645, 1051, and empty; 3 Star spools shades 518, 420, and black; and 1 J & P Coats spool shade white. The following spools are loose in the top tray: 4 Corticelli spools shades 1658, black, white, and empty; 2 Consco spools shades C102; 2 Talon spools shades 345 and empty; 2 Coats & Clark's shades 61-A and empty; 3 Clark's spools shades 135A, 53, and 50; 1 Carlson Currier spool, empty; 1 Hemmingway Bartlett spool shade 441; and 1 Dandy Polyester spool no shade number.
