Description

Metal and plastic cigar lighter. The base is a Bakelite square box with small legs and with wires along each top edge. There is an opening on one side of the base into which a cigar or cigarette can be inserted. Inside the box are receptacles for batteries to power an electrical resistance element. On a plastic sheet held onto the bottom of the base by a screw and nut is "Silent Flame Table Lighter by Parker of London. Made in U.S.A., U.S. pat. No. 2020142". On the top of the base is a Chrome figure said to represent fan dancer Sally Rand.
