Description

Leather, metal, and glass safety goggles in a foam block. The glass lenses are a dark green color. The lenses are set in a round metal frame, which is set in a leather strip that is shaped to fit over one's nose. There is an elastic band attached to each end of the leather strip so as to hold the goggles on one's face. The goggles are fitted into a block of plastic foam that is cut out to receive the goggles. The accession file listed this object as "driving" goggles. Research, plus the fact that the glass is extremely dark has led me to the conclusion that they are safety goggles rather than for driving.
