Description

Ken Ahlf, 1981. These three black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man (Ken Ahlf) with glasses wearing a suit and tie seated at a desk. In some of the images, a portion of the back of a man's head and back are visible. Image 31 shows Mr. Ahlf seated at a desk. He has an open book, a notepad and two unopened books on his desk. He has a pen in his right hand. He is leaning forward in his chair slightly, and there are drapes behind him. Images 32 and 33 are nearly identical to the previous image. Image 34 is very similar to the previous images, but here Mr. Ahlf is leaning back in his chair and looking toward the camera. The back of a man's head and right shoulder are partially visible in the left-hand foreground of the image. Images 35 through 38 are nearly identical to image 34. Image 39 is very similar to images 34-38, but here the second man's head and shoulder are not in the image frame. Image 40 is very similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Ahlf is leaning forward and looking down at the open book on his desk. Images 41 and 42 are nearly identical to image 40. Image 43 shows Mr. Ahlf leaning forward and looking toward the left-hand side of the image frame.
