Lillian Ishii, Lacey Profile, Unknown Date. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show an older woman with curly hair worn up wearing a striped shawl over a thick sweater, and slacks. She is sitting on a small ottoman in what appears to be a living room. Image 15 shows Ms. Ishii seated on the ottoman and looking toward the camera and smiling. There is a vase of flowers on a low table to the right of Ms. Ishii. Image 16 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 17 shows Ms. Ishi holding the flowers from the vase in her left hand and a pair of pruning shears in her right hand. Image 18 is very similar to the previous image, but here Ms. Ishii has replaced the flowers in the vase.Made/Created
