Behind the gun is grass, and a street with vehicles parked and buildings on the far side. There is what appears to be a billboard at the right side. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "#2005 1/5/40".
The negative is inserted, along with a print of the image, into a cream colored envelope that has typed "January 5, 1940 Another view of an old German field piece in the city park, Olympia, a World War trophy Taken about 3 p.m. on a cloudy day.
