Description

Black and white photo of a barge ready for launching. There is gravel in the foreground along with a wooden block. In the middle background is the side of a large barge. The barge has a dark hull except below the water line it is lighter. The numbers 1 trough 5 are painted on the stern, and at the top is "Cornell No. 10". Behind the barge are telephone poles. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "#2044 4/22/40". On the back is "245E". The photo is inserted, along with a negative of the image, into a cream colored envelope that has typed "4/22/40 -- Olympia Steel barge being moved into position for launching by the Reliable Welding Works". Stamped is "2044" and "indexed".
