Unidentified, 1978. These fifteen black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using several separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images.
The images in group "a" shows exterior shots of houses and apartment buildings. Two of the houses are under construction. Image 37a shows a single-storey home under construction in a wooded setting. The foundation of the home is present, as is the framing for the walls. A second single-storey home is partially visible at the left-hand side of the image frame. There is a real estate sign just below the center of the image, considerably closer to the camera than the under-construction house. This sign reads "FOR SALE AMERICAN REALTY." The address and phone number for the business are included. The address is 3925 Pacific Avenue in Lacey, Washington. Image 38a is nearly identical to image 37a. Image 39a shows the foundation of an under-construction building, likely a house. This building has some of the floor joists installed. Two stacks of plywood are visible on the left-hand side of the partially-completed building. Two completed houses are visible in the background. Behind these two houses are tall evergreen trees. Images 40a and 41a are nearly identical to the previous image. Image 42a shows a row of two-storey houses which are very similar in design. The rear sides of the houses are shown. The houses themselves appear completed, but saw horses with wood on them are visible in the back yards of the houses. Pieces of wood are also scattered about. A van with "Meier's Carpet Service" printed on the side is visible in the background. This image was captured from behind one of the homes and looking down the row toward the other houses. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 43a shows a single-storey house or duplex and a two-storey apartment building. The exteriors of these structures appears to be complete. The apartment building is partially obscured by the house/duplex. Much nearer to the camera than the house/duplex and to the right of center of the image is a hole with a concrete rim with a 4x4 sticking out of it. A steamroller is visible in the far background near the right-hand edge of the image. Image 44a shows a portion of the house or duplex seen in the previous image. However, here the photographer is much closer to this building. This building occupies most of the right-hand side of the image. Visible in the distance to the right of the nearer building is a two-storey apartment building. Image 1a shows a portion of the front of a two-storey apartment building. A pickup truck is partially visible at the left-hand side of the image frame. Image 2a is very similar to image 42a, but here the image is oriented vertically. Image 3a shows two buildings under construction. The nearer of these two buildings is two-storey, the farther one is single-storey. Two completed houses are visible in the background. Image 4a is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 5a shows a nearer shot of the two-storey building from the previous two images. A rectangular hole approximately two feet deep is in the foreground. Images 6a and 7a are nearly identical to image 5a. Image 8a is similar to images 3a and 4a, but here the photographer is much closer to the buildings. The two-storey, partially-finished building is only partly visible at the left-hand side of the image. The single-storey building partially obscured behind the first is centered in the image. Image 9a is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 10a a row of two-storey apartment buildings. The buildings have a Mansard-type roof and exterior staircases. Images 11a and 12a are nearly identical to image 10a.
The images in group "b" show houses. Image 6b shows a two-storey house with the upper portion mostly obscured behind tree branches. The front yard occupies the bottom half of the image. A driveway is on the left-hand side of the image. A pickup truck or SUV-type vehicle is parked to the left of the driveway. Images 7b and 8b are nearly identical to image 6b. Image 9b shows a single-storey house partially obscured by trees. The area of ground between the house and the camera appears to mostly be loose direct with many bare tree branches scattered around it. Image 10b is nearly identical to image 9b. Image 43b shows a row of three two-storey houses with similar designs. The nearest of the three homes is partially visible at the right-hand side of the image, and the row recedes back and toward the left. There is a large mound of dirt in front of the nearest home. Images 44b and 1b are nearly identical to image 43b. Image 2b shows a residential street with several houses partially visible at the right-hand side of the image. A semi truck is parked in one of the farther houses. Image 3b is nearly identical to image 2b.

His arms are behind his back. The man on the right is the same man in the blazer seen in the previous image. Image 21c shows the two men from the previous two images standing in front of a display rack of greeting cards. This image is oriented vertically. Image 22c is nearly identical to the previous image. He is holding several packages of sandwich meat in his hands and looking down at them. The man is wearing coveralls and appears to have a mustache. The man is on the left-hand side of the image and the sandwich display is on the right-hand side of the image. Image 25c is very similar to the previous image, but here the man is leaning forward and appears to be putting the packages of sandwich meat back on the display rack. Image 26c shows two people looking at the lunch meat display. THis image looks directly at the display. The man in the coveralls from the previous two images is partially visible at the right-hand edge of the image. A man in a jacket is standing to the left of the man in coveralls. This second man is facing toward the display. Image 27c is similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved to their left an closer to the display. The image is looking toward the right down the front of the display case. Image 28c shows a row of checkout counters at a grocery store.

One of the man is leaning forward and reaching out to grab an item out of the freezer. Many jars of Jiff peanut butter and other jarred products line the top of the freezer. Images 34c and 35c show a row of checkout counters at a grocery store. Image 36c shows a woman in a sweater and bell-bottom jeans crouching down in the area next to a checkout conveyor belt between two checkout counters. He has a mustache and is wearing a tie.
