Description

Model Home, 1974. These thirteen black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using six separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images. The images in group "a" show exterior shots of a home, a man (Ron Rowe) posing next to a large sign, and an architectural sketch of the pictured home. The images in group "b" show exterior shots of the same model home seen in image group "a." Note that the images in this group are very dark and somewhat difficult to make out. The images in group "c" show a man standing outside of the house seen in the previous two image groups, an open door, a long table with a very elaborate spread of desserts and other foods laid out on it, and two men standing next to a garbage can filled with what appears to be ice and bottles. The images in group "d" show more images of the exterior of the model home. These images are extremely dark, so details are difficult to make out. The images in group "e" show interior shots of the home and a seated man. The images in group "f" show outdoor signs, a rhododendron, and exterior shots of the home.
