Description

Black and white negative of the deck of an oil barge built by Reliable Welding. There is a steel deck with various items such as pipes and tools scattered around on it. There is a framework of steel beams on both sides of the barge, and shadows of the beams at the left. In the center of the deck is a raised portion with manhole covers and pipes, valves, and handles extending back to the wall of a pump house. A man is leaning over an open manhole. On the right side beyond the barge is a part of a building and some vehicles.. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "#2195 2/11/41" The negative is inserted, along with a print of the image, into a cream colored envelope that has typed "2/11/41 - Olympia Deck of Oil barge building at Reliable Welding Works". Stamped is "2195" and "indexed".
