Description

Black and white negative of an oil barge built by Reliable Welding. For that portion of the barge that is visible, the deck is almost flat, but a long pipe and valves run down the center. The barge is floating on water and elsewhere in the water are boat houses and pilings. In the far background are trees, hills, and buildings on the land.. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "2206 March 1941". The negative is inserted, along with a print of the image, into a cream colored envelope that has typed "March, 1941 - Olympia Deck of steel barge, built by the Reliable Welding Works, afloat". Stamped is "2206" and "indexed".
