Unidentified, 1976. These three black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a body of water, a man in diving gear, and seven women and two girls posing for group photos in a kitchen.
Image 21 shows a portion of a body of water, likely a lake, with heavily-wooded land on the far side. A building constructed on pilings is visible along the far shore. This building is centered in the image. Image 22 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 23 shows a man in a wetsuit (with hood) with a full-face breathing mask over his face. The man is adjusting something on the wrist-area of the suit. He is shown from the waist-up. A second man is partially visible at the left-hand edge of the image. Only his torso is visible in the image. A portion of a metal boom is visible between and behind the two men. Image 24 shows the man in the wetsuit holding a length of metal pipe with a 90 degree turn in it just above where the man is gripping it. There is a valve just past the bend, and a length of hose extends from the back end of the piece of pipe. This may be a tool for clearing silt from underwater objects. The boom is visible behind him, as is a rail of the boat the man is on. Image 25 shows the man adjusting his mask and facing toward the right-hand side of the image frame. Image 36 shows seven women posing for a group photo in a kitchen. All but the woman on the far right are looking toward the camera. Various plated desserts are visible in the foreground of the image. These desserts are blurry. A sign hanging on the wall behind the women shows prices for various dessert items. These women may be participating in a bake sale. Image 37 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has backed away or zoomed out from the women. Here it can be seen that the desserts in the foreground are on a kitchen peninsula which the women are standing behind. Image 38 shows four of the women from the previous image posing for a group photo with a girl. The girl is on the far right. A door is centered in the background. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 38 shows the same scene as the previous image, but here the image is oriented vertically. Image 40 shows four of the women from the previous images standing behind the peninsula again. The girl from the previous image is on the opposite side of the peninsula from the women and is reaching out toward the desserts on the peninsula. Image 41 is very similar to the previous image, but here the girl is holding up a plate of desserts and is turned partially toward the camera. Image 42 is very similar to image 40, but here the girl is much closer to the camera.Made/Created
