School Buses, 1976. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show children and parked school buses.
Image 39 shows a child wearing a soccer jersey-style shirt which reads "Lacey" on the chest (it appears that more text is likely printed farther down on the shirt, but it is not visible in this image). This child is looking toward the camera and smiling. THe child is shown from the chest-up. Image 40 shows either the same child or a similar-looking child at the center of the image standing in a close group with four other children. Image 41 shows sixteen school buses parked in a large gravel parking lot. The buses are parked in two rows which form and "L" shape. The buses are a considerable distance away from the camera. Image 42 is similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved much closer to the leftmost of the buses. Image 43 is similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved to only 2-3 feet away from the leftmost bus. Of the nearest bus, only the front and a portion of the door are visible. Image 44 is similar to image 42, but here the photographer has moved outward from the front end of the nearest bus. Image 1 is very similar to image 44, but here the photographer has panned to the right. Only a very small portion of the leftmost bus is visible along the left-hand edge of the image. Image 2 shows that the photographer has panned farther to their right. Another row of buses, not visible in any of the previous images, is visible on the right-hand side of the image. Image 3 is nearly identical to image 2. Image 4 shows five buses and several other large vehicles parked along a fence. The image is turned counter-clockwisr, with the horizon line going from near the upper-left corner to near the lower-right corner.
Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
