Bicentennial Celebration, 1976. These eight black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using four separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images.
The images in group "a" show people inside Marcus Pavilion, a woman putting on a blacksmithing demonstration, a girl holding balloons and walking down a path, a musical performance and children playing outside.
The images in group "b" show children posing together in various configurations for group photos.
The images in group "c" show a person walking on stilts, a man standing on a small platform on the back of a small wagon, and an outdoor crab-walking competition.
The images in group "d" show man on stilts walking around the Saint Martin's campus.Made/Created
