Description

Foot Race, 1977. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show papers on a desk and people participating in a foot race. Image 42 partially shows two desks or table which are end-to-end. There are several stacks of papers, baskets with stacks of paper in them, an ashtray and other items on the desks/tables. Image 43 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has panned to the right slightly. Image 44 is blank. Image 1 shows many people participating in a foot race on a fairly wide street. The Washington State Capitol building is visible in the middle of the background. Images 2-5 are very similar to image 1, but in each subsequent image the runners have progressed toward and past the camera. Image 6 shows a portion of a sidewalk. Image 7 shows a man running through a park. What appears to be a park bathroom is partially visible at the left-hand side of the image. Image 8 shows some pavement. Image 9 shows the license plate and the front grill of a car on the upper-right 1/3 of the image. Image 10 shows a man running through an industrial area. Image 12 shows a man running down a road. Spectators are lining the edge of the road. Printed at intervals along one long edge of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
