Description

Bowling, 1975. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two men kneeling on a bowling lane and preparing to bowl. Image 23 shows two men kneeling down side-by-side on a lane in a bowling alley. Both men are wearing glasses and a bowling shirt. Both men's first names are embroidered on the left breast of their shirts. The man on the left's shirt reads "Al" (visible in later images) and the man on the right's shirt reads "Mick." Both men have a bowling ball sitting on the ground in front of them. Images 24 through 28 are nearly identical to image 23. Image 29 shows the same two men engaged in a bowling game. The man named Mick is picking a bowling ball up off of the ball return. The man named Al is visible in the background sitting at the scoring desk. Images 30 through 32 are nearly identical to image 29. Image 33 shows Mick seated and Al picking up a ball from the ball return. Embroidered on the back side of Mick's left shoulder is "O'Connor." Printed in alternation along one long edge of each of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
