Description

Bill Cholski, 1975. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two men shaking hands and exchanging a document, and a woman posing for a photo. These images were captured at the Lacey Post Office. Image 8 shows a man (Bill Cholski) working in a post office. He is wearing a short-sleeved shirt with a US Postal Service patch on the left shoulder. Image 9 shows Mr. Cholski at right shaking the hand of a man in a suit and tie. This man is passing a typed document to Mr. Cholski. A wall with many PO boxes and mail slots in it is behind the men. Images 10 through 17 are nearly identical. Image 18 shows a woman in a sweater vest posing for a portrait-style photo. Printed in alternation along the bottom edge of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
