Health Boats, 1975. These black and white film negative strips were taken for the Lacey Leader Newspaper. These images show a variety of boats in the Olympia area. Image 34 looks over the Puget Sound. An industrial area is visible in the background, along with the Capitol dome. A small unidentified boat is approaching from a distance. Image 35 looks over the Puget Sound with an industrial area in the background. Image 36 is very similar to image 34 and shows an unidentified boat approaching the photographer. Image 37 shows a boat labeled, "Water Safety Patrol" on the water. Trees and buildings are visible in the background. Image 38 is of an unidentified man, shown in profile smoking a pipe. He appears to be piloting a boat. Image 39 is taken from aboard a small boat. An unidentified man is just visible from behind. Other, unidentified boats are visible in the background. Images 40 and 41 are very similar to image 39. Image 42 is taken from a dock and a sign reading "Private Dock, no trespassing," is visible. Just off the dock a boat labeled "Heidelberg" and "Water Safety Patrol" is visible. Two unidentified individuals are visible on the boat. Two more individuals are just visible behind the Heidelberg in a small raft. Image 43 shows a man smoking a cigarette on board a boat. A sign on the boat appears to read, "U.S. Coast Guard Official Auxiliary Patrol." Image 44 is taken from a dock and shows several unidentified boats. Several unidentified individuals are also visible in the background. Image 1 is taken from a dock and several unidentified boats are visible, along with the Heidelberg. Mounted onto the Heidelberg is a small inflatable raft labeled, "Water Safety Patrol." Several unidentified people are visible in the background. Image 2 is taken close to land and shows two unidentified boats. The boats are facing away from each other and are very close to land. Image 3 shows a docked boat labeled, "Mer Mar." An unidentified individual is peering into the boat. Several others are visible in the background. Image 4 is taken from land and looks down onto a dock. A sign reading, "Private Dock No Trespassing," is visible. The Heidelberg and several other unidentified boats are visible at the dock, along with several individuals. A parked sedan is also visible.
