Description

Karate, 1975. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man and a woman putting on a karate demonstration in an office. In all of the images, the man is on the left and the woman is on the right. Image 12 shows the man and woman facing each other. The man is holding his left fist out toward the woman's face. A counter is visible behind the man, and many framed documents are on the wall beyond the man and woman. Image 13 shows the man kicking out toward the woman's head. Image 14 shows the woman blocking a punch from the man. Image 15 shows the woman kicking the man. Image 16 shows both the man and the woman punching toward each other's faces. Image 17 shows the man and woman punching toward each other. Image 18 shows the woman kicking toward the man's face. Image 19 also shows the woman kicking toward the man's face. Image 20 shows both the man and woman with legs raised and bent at the knee. Image 21 is very similar to image 20, but here the man is kicking toward the woman. Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
