Description

Jim Goudy, Unknown Date. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man (Jim Goudy) in a windbreaker-style jacket and polo shirt posing next to two different product displays in a K-Mart store. These images were captured at the K-Mart store located at one of the corners of Sleater-Kinney Road and Martin Way. Image 26 shows the man standing underneath a sign hanging from the ceiling above him which reads "K-mart" and "Satisfaction Always." A much smaller "No Smoking Please" sign is hanging from the bottom of the larger sign. There are three large stacks of plastic laundry baskets visible behind the man. He is facing toward the left-hand side of the image and is shows from the mid-calf up. Image 27 shows the man standing next to a display of stacked hydraulic jacks in boxes. His right arm is resting on top of the display. He is looking toward the camera and appears to be speaking. He is shows from the waist up. Image 28 is very similar to the previous image, but here the man's head is oriented directly toward the camera. Image 29 is similar to the previous two images, but here the man is looking off toward the right-hand side of the image frame. Image 30 is nearly identical to image 27. Printed at intervals along the left-hand edge of the image frame is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
