Description

Vietnamese Family, 1975. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a family consisting of three adult females, one adult male, and four children posing together for photos. They are in the front yard of a house next to the house's front steps. The street number 4439 can be seen next to the front door. Image 6 shows the family posing together. The four adults are standing in a row. The three oldest children are standing in a row in front of the adults. The youngest child is sitting on the front steps' railing, elevating him above the heads of the adults. The house and some bushes are visible behind the family members. One handlebar of a bicycle is sticking up into the image from the bottom-center. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 7 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has backed away or zoomed out from the family members. A second bicycle is partially visible in the bottom-right corner of the image. Image 8 is very similar to image 7, but here the photographer has again backed up or zoomed out from the family. Image 9 is very similar to the previous three images, but here the image is oriented vertically. Image 10 shows the family standing in a similar configuration as in the previous images, but here they have moved to the other side of the front steps. In this image, the houses's garage door is visible in the background, as is the full street number of 4439. This image is oriented horizontally. Printed in alternation along the bottom edge of this film strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
