Unidentified People, 1975. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man behind a glass display counter holding a small rifle, a child holding a puppy, a baseball mitt hanging on a wall, and a child playing soccer.
Image 44 shows an off-kilter view of a corner of a room with a number of documents and a calendar hanging on the wall. A television, a radio, a telephone and other items are laying on a small table or counter. A large window takes up most of the right-hand side of the image. Clothing appears to be hanging on the other side of the window. Image 1 shows a man with sideburns wearing plaid pants and holding a small rifle in both hands. The barrel of the rifle is pointing toward the man's left. He appears to be examining the rifle. The man is standing behind a glass display case/counter. The man's body is oriented roughly toward the camera, and he is looking downward at the rifle. Image 2 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved to the man's right by 2-3 feet. The man appears to be laughing or speaking. The objects seen in image 44 are visible in the background. Image 4 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved several feet farther toward the man's right. Images 5-7 are nearly identical to image 4. Image 30 shows a young boy holding a puppy in his arms. Images 31-33 shows a baseball mitt hanging on a "hook" which looks like the bottom end of a baseball bat. This hook is mounted on a rough wood-paneled wall. Image 24 shows a lone young person in a soccer uniform dribbling a soccer ball on a soccer field.
Printed in alternation along one long edge of all of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
