Description

Louie's Meter, 1976. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a gas meter, and trees. There are no physical numbers on the strip, so the images will be numbered 1-5, beginning from the left. Image 1 shows a gas meter hooked up to what appears to be a propane tank, which is partially visible at the left-hand side of the image. A brushy field is visible in the background. Image 2 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 3 shows a blurry shot of sunlight coming through some leaves and branches. Image 3 is effectively identical to the previous image. Image 5 shows a non-blurry shot of trees against the sky. The Louie referred to in the title of this sleeve is likely Louie Balukoff, a photographer for the Lacey Leader newspaper.
