Description

Lakefair Princesses with Parents, 1977. These four black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show five of the six 1977 Lakefair princesses posing individually, and four of them also posing with their parents. All five of the princesses are wearing matching striped blazers with a Capitalarian badge and name tag on the left lapel. In all of the images, all of those pictured are looking toward the camera and smiling. Image 44 (note that the physical numbers on the strips are very difficult to see) shows Ana Mari Capestany at center, her mother Raquel Capestany at right, and her father Adolfo Capestany at left. Adolfo Capestany is wearing a blazer and polka-dotted tie. Raquel Capestany is wearing a dress with a bow at the neck. Image 1 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 2 shows Ana Mari Capestany posing individually for a portrait-style photo. Image 3 is very similar to the previous image, but here she has turned her head and body partially toward the right-hand side of the image frame. Image 4 shows Jennifer Dunn at center and her mother (first name unknown) at left, and her father Robert Dunn at right. Jennifer's mother is wearing a short-sleeved, collared shirt and her father is wearing a cardigan over a turtleneck sweater. Image 5 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 6 shows Jennifer Dunn posing individually for a portrait-style photo. Image 7 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 8 shows April McGandy posing for a portrait-style photo. Image 9 is nearly identical to image 8. Image 10 shows Lori Sundberg at center with her mother, first name unknown, at left and her father, Ralph Sundberg, at right. Mrs. Sundberg is wearing a floral-patterned top and Mr. Sundberg is wearing a suit and tie. Image 12 shows Lori Sundberg posing for a portrait-style photo. Image 13 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 14 shows Kathi Whittig at center and her mother, first name unknown, at left and her father, Jerry Whittig, at right. Mrs. Whittig is wearing a v-neck sweater over a collared shirt and Mr. Whittig is wearing a suit and tie. Image 15 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 16 shows Kathi Whittig posing individually for a portrait-style photo. Images 17 and 18 are nearly identical to image 16. Printed at intervals along one long edge of each of these strips is"KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
