Lakefair Princesses with Parents, 1979. These four black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show three young women, all 1979 Lakefair queen candidates, in matching floral-print blouses posing individually, as well as with their parents. All of these images were captured on an outdoor walkway at the Tyee Motor Inn. The background looks out over the hotel's pool and some of the buildings.
Image 37 shows a young woman (Geni Gylys) at center posing for a photo with an older woman and man. The woman is on the left and the man is on the right. Images 38-40 all show Geni Gylys posing individually for photos. All three of the images are nearly identical. Image 41 shows a different young woman (Chris Lambert), at left, posing with an older woman (Solveig Lambert, Chris's mother) at right. Images 42 through 44 are nearly identical to image 41.
