Local Politicians at South Sound Music Center, 1975. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show men and women participating at a "ribbon-cutting" (although the ribbon here is a 2x4) at South Sound Music Center. People in the images include: Bill Bush; George Yantis, Jr.; Marj Yung; Kenneth Stevens, Tom Allen and Debbi Haverlock.
Image 4 shows Bill Bush wearing a suit at the center of the image. His hands are in his pockets and he is laughing. George Yantis is visible behind and to the left of Mr. Bush. Tom Allen is partially visible at the right-hand edge of the image. Three other unknown men are visible in the background. Image 5 shows Debbi Haverlock and an unknown woman standing and facing toward the left-hand side of the image. A man carrying a piece of electronic equipment on a shoulder strap is partially visible at the left-hand side of the image. Image 6 shows Debbi Haverlock standing next to a 2x4 with ribbons tied around it. Her mouth is open in surprise or excitement. Bill Bush is cutting into the 2x4 with a handsaw. Image 7 is similar to the previous scene, but here the photographer has moved to their left and back away from Ms. Haverlock and Mr. Bush. Here a group of additional people can be seen behind Ms. Haverlock and Mr. Bush getting ready to pose for photos. These additional people, from left to right, are: an unknown man, George Yantis, Marj Yung, Tom Allen, and an unknown young woman. Image 8 is very similar to the previous image, but here Ms. Haverlock is looking toward the camera and smiling. Mr. Bush is looking up from the 2X4 and toward the left-hand side of the image frame. Image 9 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 10 i very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved to their right by approximately six feet.
