Description

Irene and Eveline Kenney. Black and white brown-toned 2" x 3" photograph of the Kenney twins. They are wearning matching light-colored lightweight dresses and shoes. They both have the same short haircut and have their hands behind their back. The front porch of a house is visible in the background. There appears to be a hat laying on the porch. On the right edge of the image is written, "Our Twinnies." On the back of the photo are remnants of adhesive and black paper suggesting that it was removed from an album. At the top is written: "#642 & 589 2391" in pencil and black pen. At center in blue: "The Kenney twins -- sisters of Frank Kenney of Oly. Brewery." A blue stamped number: "942" is visible underneath the writing. The donor says of this photo: "Irene and Evelyn [sic] Kenney (twins) who owned and operated the 'Twin Shop', the sweet shop and hang-out for all the St. Martins boys in Olympia, on East Fourth St. downtown."
