Description

Mildred Kearney golfing at Mountain View Golf Course. Black and white photographic print has a thin unprinted border around the outside. The image features a woman dressed in a long skirt and short sleeved shirt, both light colored and a horizontally striped vest. She holds a golf club in her left hand and a golf bag with more clubs in her right. She is standing next to a very mature and blossoming cherry tree. Behind her is the Mountain View Golf and Country Club clubhouse which was once the home of David and Margaret Chambers. On the back in the upper right is written: "Mrs. John Kearney Mountain View Golf Course #588 #2335" by museum staff. Underneath and faded is written in pencil: "1st Cherry tree planted in Oregon Terr. 76 years old when this was taken in 192[?] standing in front of the Mountain View G. & C. C. House."
