Description

The old Capitol Building on fire on September 8, 1928. Warm-toned black and white postcard features a photographic print on the front of smoke engulfing the building. In the lower right in white: "Old Capitol in flames, September 8, 1928." On the back of the postcard there are remnants of black paper and adhesive revenue, suggesting this image came from an album. At top right in pencil: "#2333" and printed "Post Card" with "Correspondence" on the left and "Address" on the right with a line separating the two down the middle.
