Ticket to Ryde, 1979. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two men posing with record LPs and other music memorabilia in an office full of LPs and other music memorabilia.
Image 15 shows a fairly large, likely cardboard display which reads "Paul McCartney & Wings." At the top-center of the display piece is an analog clock with an LP as the clock face. The sides of the display are loosely shaped like wings. Image 16 shows two men holding LPs and posing for a photo. The man on the left has medium-length hair and a thick mustache. This man is Mitchell McGeary. He is wearing a plaid, short-sleeved shirt. He is holding an LP in the sleeve, titled "The Beatles vs. The Four Seasons." The man on the right has very curly hair and a beard and is wearing glasses. He is wearing a button-up shirt. He is holding two LPs. The LP on the left is titled "The Big Hits from England & USA." The LP on the right is the Beatles' "Yesterday and Today." Images 17 and 18 also show the men holding the same LPs. Image 19 is very similar to image 16, but here the man with the beard is holding a jacket with a patch on the back which reads "Beatles" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." Image 20 shows Mr. McGeary seated in front of the Paul McCartney & Wings display seen in image 15. Here Mr. McGeary is wearing a t-shirt which reads "Ticket to Ryde, LTD." Image 21 is very similar to the previous image, but here Mr. McGeary is holding a record LP titled "The Beatles' discography." Image 22 shows Mr. McGeary holding a framed poster advertising recordings of live Beatles concerts. Image 23 shows the man with the beard at left and Mr. McGeary at right. They appear to each be holding onto one side of the poster seen in the previous image. Mr. McGeary is looking over toward the man with the beard. A calendar is visible hanging on the wall on the left-hand side of the image. The calendar shows December, and the way the days fall in that month suggest that it is probably 1979. Image 24 shows Mr. McGeary looking toward the camera. The Beatles poster is partially visible in the lower-right corner.
