Description

Lion's Club Paper Drive, Unknown Dates. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show people and many large bundles of paper in what appears to be a storage facility or a grbage dump. Image 4 shows a person with glasses wearing a cardigan and looking at the camera. There are some sawhorses and a man in a plaid jacket behind the first person. These two people are inside what appears to be a semi trailer. The back end is stacked from floor to ceiling with bails of paper. Image 5 shows a man in a fedora and a second person mostly obscured behind the man in the fedora inside a concrete room with a cage wall on the far side. There is a large pile of paper in the lower-right corner of this image. Image 6 shows the man in the plaid jacket and a bald man standing next to a dumpster and a stack of bailed paper. Image 7 shows a man in a fedora and striped shirt kneeling down next to a very large pile of bailed paper. He is facing away from the camera. Image 8 shows the person in the glasses and cardigan touching the top of a stack of bailed paper. The man in the plaid jacket and the bald man are stooped over on the left-hand side of the image. Image 9 shows four people gathered around a cart piled with paper. Image 10 shows two men unloading the cart of paper. Image 11 shows the man in the plaid jacket standing inside the semi trailer. Image 12 is effectively identical to the previous image. Image 13 shows a man in a fedora amongst a pile of paper. Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
