Mima Mounds, 1979. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader. These images show low mounds of soil in an open area surrounded by trees.
The Mima Mounds are naturally-occurring soil formations, the cause of which remain unknown. They exist in at least two different areas in Thurston County, Washington, and similar phenomena exist in various locations around the world.Made/Created
