Description

Marina, unknown date. These four black and white negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. They depict scenic shots from the boardwalk in downtown Olympia. The park around Capitol Lake, and Tumwater Falls Park. Images 44-43, 1-2 are of a fishing boat out on the water in Budd Bay. Images 3-4, 7 are of people on the boardwalk, walking, sitting, and standing. Images 5-6, 8 are of several small boats docked in the marina. Images 9-10 are of people sitting on the grass at Capitol Park. The dome of the capitol building is visible in the background. Images 11-12 are of a sidewalk, a set of stairs is on the left side of the image, a metal light pole is on the right. Images 13-15 are of two birds (geese?) sitting in the grass next to the water's edge. Images 16-17, 20 are of the bridge in front of the highway overpass in Tumwater Falls Park. Images 18-19 are of a waterfall. Printed at intervals along the edge of the strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063".
