Tumwater Park and Oyster House, Unknown Dates. These four black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show the Old Tumwater Brewhouse, the Olympia skyline along Capitol Lake, the Oyster House restaurant, a sign for an RV park and scenes on and around a lake. It is likely that the park shown is the Tumwater Historical Park.
Images 2 through 5 show the exterior of the Old Tumwater Brewhouse. Image 6a shows the Olympia skyline east of Capitol Lake. Images 7 and 8 show the front exterior of the Olympia Oyster House restaurant. Images 9 and 10 show a sign for and "O.R.V. SPORTS PARK." Image 11 shows people in and near a lake. A long dock crosses through the center of the image. Image 12 shows several people sitting at a group of wooden picnic tables in a grssy, partially wooded area. Image 13 is effectively identical to image 11. Image 13 shows a bird on top of a piece of wood. Image 14 shows a very blurry shot of what appears the be ther upper portion of a person's head. Image 16 shows people walking on the dock on the lake. Images 17 and 18 show a man walking a dog on the dock. Image 19 shows a young man seated on the dock. Images 20 and 21 show two bearded men riding in a paddleboat on the lake.Made/Created
