Description

Twelve photos (Frames #1-12). Pictures taken in 1972 at Mobile Modules Northwest (in Lacey @ 4900 Lacey Boulevard) of a special wastewater and sewage disposal treatment system put together in Lacey by Wasteco (of Tualatin, OR). The wastewater system was designed to be used in Wainwright, Alaska (near Point Barrow). Frame #1 shows a vent in a paneled room. In frames #2-6, George Osbourne of Mobile Modules Northwest is pointing out various aspects of this special system. Most of the remaining photos (Frames #7-11) show pieces of the machinery involved (including unique laundromat machines). Frame #12 appears to not be part of this "tour"; it shows a Coast-to-Coast Stores employee in a parking lot demonstrating a retail product of theirs.

Context

An early business in Lacey supplying machinery to a northern Alaskan village.
