Description

Real Estate, Unknown Dates. These six black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using three separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images. The images in group "a" show exterior shots of homes. Image 18a shows a small, single-storey home with an attached storage shed visible on the right. Image 19a is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 20a shows a two-storey home with a large, steeply slanted roofline similar to a "saltbox style." Images 21a and 22a are nearly identical to image 20a. Image 23a shows a single-storey home with a roof which is flat on the top, but flares out on the sides. The roof has some similarities to a mansard roof. Image 25a shows a single-storey house with a garage attached on the left-hand side. Images 26a and 27a are nearly identical to image 25a. Image 28a shows a different single-storey house with an attached garage on the left-hand side. There is a real estate sign in the front yard. The images in group "b" show exterior shots of houses. Image 25b shows a single-storey home with an attached garage on the right-hand side. The home is up a short rise from the road, which is visible at the bottom of the image. Images 26b through 28b are nearly identical to image 25b. Image 29b shows a single-storey house with an attached garage on the left-hand side . There is a Lacey Realty sign in the yard to the left of the driveway. Images 30b through 32b are nearly identical to image 29b. Image 33b shows a single-storey home with a boat parked to the right-hand side. Images 34b through 36b are nearly identical to image 33b. The images in group "c" show exterior shots of one house. The house is single-storey and has a fairly tall evergreen tree or bush growing alongside the left-front corner. All of these images (37c through 40c) are nearly identical.
