Capital Mall, 1979. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a prize drawings for a toy car.
Image 17 shows a man and a woman on a stage in front of three electric organs. The Lamont's (a department store) logo is on the wall behind them. The man is looking down toward a large bag laying on the ground. The woman is speaking into a microphone. Image 18 shows the woman holding the bag while the man reaches into the bag. Image 19 shows the man looking at a small piece of paper in his hand. Image 20 shows the man on stage shaking hands with a man standing in front of the stage. Image 21 again shows the man on stage reaching into the bag. Image 22 shows the man and woman from on-stage posing for a photo with two other men. In front of these four people is a very small car with a canopy roof. This car appears to be either a toy or perhaps a go-cart. Image 23 is very similar to the previous scene, but here an additional person is approaching the group from the right side of the image.Made/Created
