Description

McDonald's Bike Safety, Unknown Date. These four black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a woman, a man and two children posing for photos with a person dressed as the Hamburglar (a McDonald's mascot), who is sitting on a bicycle. These images were captured outside of South Bay Elementary. Image 31 shows the Hamburglar on the bicycle at center, one adult standing to either side of the Hamburglar, and the two children kneeling down in front of the adults. All of these people are looking toward the camera and smiling. A wooden sign reading "SOUTH BAY" is partially visible behind the people. The school building occupies the image background. Images 32 through 44 are effectively identical to image 31. Printed at intervals along one long edge of each of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
