Description

Gifted Student Program, Lacey Elementary, 1980. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show group photos of a class of young children, and children engaged in a gameshow-type game. Image 7 shows approximately 25 children and two adults posing for a group photo in a classroom. Images 8 through 10 are effectively identical to image 7. Image 11 shows several students gathered around one of the adults seen in the previous image. Image 30 shows eight students seated at long tables with what appears to be buzzers in front of them. Image 31 shows a different perspective of the scene seen in the previous image. Students are seated around the room, some at the tables with the buzzers. A man with glasses is standing near the left-hand side of the image. In the background is a fairly elaborate gameshow-type board which appears to show the score of whatever game they are playing. Across the top of this board is "MAUER POWER." Images 31 thorugh 33 are very similar to image 30. Images 34 through 37 are very similar to image 30. Printed at intervals along one long edge of each of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
