North Thurston High School Award Winners, 1972 or 1973. These images were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show young people gathered together for group photos, and a young woman holding a trophy.
Image 7 shows three young people wearing what appears to be hunting attire. The young woman on the right is holding up a packaged camouflaged parka. Two large pieces of paper visible hanging on the wall behind these three people shows a list of dates and choir-related events, suggesting that these images were captured in the choir classroom at North Thurston High School. A Seattle Opera poster with "1972-73 Season" printed on it is also visible in the background. Images 8 and 9 are nearly identical to image 7. Image 10 shows a young man at center wearing a jacket with an emblem of some kind on the breast and looking down at an open book in his hands.. One young woman is to each side of the young man, and both young women are holding bucket-like objects. A piece of paper hanging on the wall behind these three people has the names of several Christmas songs written on it, suggesting that these images were captured near Christmas. Image 11 is nearly identical to image 10. Images 17 through 19 show a young woman holding a trophy. A small plaque at the base of the trophy appears to read, in part, "1973" and "STATE," but this is not definitive as the text is very hard to see.
Printed in alternation along both long edges of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
