Description

Dave Wilson, Los Hermanos, 1979. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man (Dave Wilson) standing next to a swinging double door, and standing next to a piece of art made from pieces of wood or stone fitted together. Image 31 shows Mr. Wilson wearing a wide-brimmed hat and jacket and standing in front of a double swinging door, similar to the type of door often seen on saloons in Western movies. A sign above the door reads "CANTINA." Images 32-34 are effectively identical to image 31. Image 35 shows Mr. Wilson standing next to a piece of art. The subject matter is a desert landscape, and it is framed to appear to be seen through an arch-topped window. The piece appears to be made of cut pieces of wood, stone, or some other material fitted together to form the landscape. Images 36 and 37 are nearly identical to image 35. Dave Wilson was an owner of Los Hermanos, as well as several other local restaurants.
