Basketball, Unknown Dates. These six black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using two separate film rolls so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images.
The images in group "a" show a man walking down a strip of carpet, and two basketball games in progress. Images 1a through 3a shows a men's basketball game in progress. Neither team has an identifying information on their jerseys. Image 4a shows a man wearing a long overcoat over what appears to be a robe walking down a rolled-out strip of carpet across the basketball court. Images 5a and 14a through 17a show the same basketball game in progress. Image 18a shows a standing bearded man speaking to a seated man with glasses and a mustache.
All of the images in group "b" (0a-2a, 3a-5a, 9a-10a and 15a-17a) show a men's basketball game between the Timberline High School Blazers and the Olympia High School Bears.Made/Created
