Basketball, 1973 and 1978. These twenty-two contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using six separate rolls of film, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images.
The images in group "a"show a men's basketball game between the teams from Timberline High School and Centralia High School. All of these images (10a through 25a) show the game in-progress.
The images in group "b" show a men's basketball game between the team from Timberline High School and an unknown team (the images are too faded to make out the name on the team's jerseys). All of these images (27b through 43b) show the game underway.
The images in group "c" show a men's basketball game between the teams from Timberline High School and North Thurston High School. All of the images (11c-15c and 21c-25c) show the game underway.
The images in group "d" show a men's basketball game between the teams from North Thurston High School and Capital High School. All of the images (16d-20d and 26d-30d) show the game underway.
The images in group "e" show a men's basketball game between the teams from Saint Martin's College and Pacific Lutheran University. All of the images (22e-44e and 1e-9e) show the game underway.
