Description

Little League Baseball, 1973. These sixteen black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using seven separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images. The images in group "a" show a little league play-off game. These images were captured on or around 7/5/1973. The images in group "b" show either the same play-off game seen in group "a," or a different game in the same play-off tournament. The images in group "c" show posed photos of individual young men in little league uniforms from several different teams. These images are titled "Pony/Calf All-Stars," and they were captured on or around 7/18/1973. The images in group "d" show individual young men in little league uniforms posing for photos. These images were captured on or around 7/11/1973. The images in group "e" show spectators at a baseball game, and two young men in baseball uniforms posing individually for photos. These images were captured in June of 1973. The images in group "f" show a baseball game between the teams from Nisqually and Jefferson middle schools. This game was played in May of 1973.
