Description

Blown over tree in Lacey after the Columbus Day storm of 1962. Black and white 3.5" x 3.5" photographic print has a thin white border. Picture is of a yard next to the Black Cat Nursery. A low hedge lines the yard. A large deciduous tree has fallen over to the right and its roots are exposed. A man, possibly Henry Turner, is in the background with his back to the camera. Another person is in front of him. The Black Cat Nursery can be seen in the background. On the back of the photograh is written in pen, "The Columbus day Storm 1959." The date is believed to be incorrect since the big Columbus Day Storm was in 1962 and no other storms of this magnitude occurred in 1959, much less on Columbus Day.
