Kids. 88 photos on 25 different negative strips. The dates on the backs of the photos indicate that these pictures were taken on three dates--11/13/1974, 11/20/1974 and 11/26/1974.
11/13/1974: The longest set of continuously numbered negatives (and related photos) from 11/13/1974 photos (negatives #15-31) appear to show a high school awards presentation and a staged performance by two students (possibly at an assembly?). Five of six negatives in another string of photos (#24-29) show another performance involving one male student (as a pirate) and three female ones (two of the women pictured change in some of the photos so a total of five are shown) with a brief addition of another male performer (possibly a teacher?) for two pictures; the other negative in this set shows five staff dressed in costumes with a sixth in the background in shirt and tie at a desk. A different string of negatives/photos (#35-41) shows five pictures of one male in a coat and tie (age, probably under 30) exchanging an award or document (with a dome on it) with what appears to be a clergy member in front of an iconic crucifix and another iconic representation of a holy person (shown by the halo); the remaining two pictures are head shots of a young (high school age?) male student. Another string of negatives/photos (#2-9) include two head shots of another, apparently high school aged male student and six photos of an older couple (in what appears to be a store) admiring and putting holiday decorations on a window display shelf. The next set of negatives/photos taken on 11/13/74 (#9-12) all appear to be from an elementary school/library/preschool: the first three pictures are of a presentation at a library with small children watching immediately followed by a picture of what appears to be the teacher/librarian. Negatives #18-22 show the head shot of one man in a tie and then four pictures in which this same man is in the foreground with what appears to be the "teacher/librarian" in negative #12 talking to another man in the background. Finally, negatives #15-16 show Halloween decorations at the drive-up window of a bank and a person in costume at a desk with the plaque saying "Martha Folwell".
11/20/1974: Negatives #33-40 show three women displaying some Thanksgiving themed decorations--first focused on recycling and then on the Mayflower. Negatives #4-9 show a Volkswagen with 5 young adults/teenagers outside one of the State Patrol buildings; in the last two of these photos a member of the State Patrol (his name badge is almost legible) is posing in front of another car and driver along with what appear to be two staff members, one of whom has a clip board. The next strip of photos from this date (#40-44; 1-2) shows a portrait of one person in coat and tie followed by an outside shot of the Tumwater Police station and then four photos of what appear to be a family who have been honored; the family members each have items in their hands--some appear to be from the garden and one member appears to be holding photographic slides. Negatives #22-25 appear to have been taken at a butcher shop, showing a woman looking at slabs of beef hung by hooks. Negatives #44 and #1-3 show a woman who is talking to another woman (with her back to the camera) and appearing to demonstrate how to fix a paper towel dispenser.
11/26/74: This string of negatives (#40-43; 1-7) first shows five pictures of young children with Santa and a woman helping Santa and then seven pictures of three children, two dressed as pilgrims and one costumed as an Indian, with a turkey decoration on the wall behind them and a banner showing assignments/recognitions on the wall to the photo's right.
