These photos were taken for the Lacey Leader newspaper. There are 3 strips of contact print strips in this sleeve, all depicting different components and people within a parade in Tumwater, Washington, USA. The parade was on an overcast spring day. Most of the photos are in some way related to Tumwater High School. Frame 22 has some sort of chemical damage, darkening the frame. Despite the damage it clearly depicts two young men pulling a two wheeled cart with a bell and garbage can, both labeled THS for Tumwater High School. The young man are wearing jeans jackets and canvass sneakers. There is a young woman wearing a short checkered dress in front of the garbage can. The back of her dress has a patch on the back depicting a bird carrying a banner in its beak. The patch reads T Birds Julie. Frame 23 also exhibits spotting, probably due to the developing process. It depicts a man wearing glasses and a short brimmed fedora, he is seen through the passenger side window of a large truck, speaking into a hand set. Frame 24 has four people sitting in the front of an old fire truck reading "Tumwater" and the number 1. From the left to right there are a man wearing a suit, a man wearing glasses with his finger pointing skyward, a woman standing and wearing a coat, and a small girl. Frame 25 three firemen in Tumwater Fire Department firefighting regalia stand on the rear of a fire truck. The truck door reads "Tumwater Fire Dept.". There is a hand painted sign on the rear of the truck that reads "DONATE TO HELP SEND TUMWATER ALL-CITY-BAND TO EXPO-74". Frame 26 has 5 young girls wearing dark tights and short dresses. The girls are wearing the same dresses as the one seen on the girl in frame 22. They must be the "T Birds". Frame 27 a long shot of the Tumwater High School marching band. There are 2 girls twirling batons at the front of the band. A boy riding his bicycle can be seen on the right front of the procession. A man in a dark suit can be seen in the left of the shot standing off of the pavement of the road. Frame 28 is a closer shot of the Tumwater High School marching band. Conspicuous T's can be seen on the chests of their uniforms. Only the musicians are visible in this shot. Frame 29 shows the percussion section of the marching band and the brass section behind them. Frame 30 shows a better shot of the two young baton twirlers wearing leotards the twirler on the left has her hair down and the one on the right has her hair tied back. Behind them is a truck, a motorcyclist and the marching band. In the background you can see a Texaco gas station and a sign reading "Southgate Rexall Drugs". Frame 31 the marching band is seen playing in front of an overhang structure reading "SOUTH GATE MARKET". Behind them are several parked cars. Frame 32 is similar to frame 31 but it is zoomed closer in on the front left corner of the marching band formation. Frame 33 is similar to frame 32 but it is zoomed closer still focusing on the left front corner member of the marching band. He is playing a tuba. Frame 34 two of the men riding in the firetruck in frame 24 are peering over the trash can from frame 22. The other side of the trash-can can be seen in this photo and you can see the word "spirit" is written on the can, along with a simple painted flower. The man on the right is putting cash into the trash can. Frame 35 is nearly the same as frame 24 but it is an angle slightly to the right from the last shot. A car license plate can be seen in the background reading "JBM 405"Made/Created
