This series of 2 negative strips was taken for the Lacey Leader Newspaper. One set of frames shows a ribbon cutting ceremony for South Sound National Bank. The other series is a set of photos of two people planting starts in a garden setting. Frame 11, a large crowded group of mostly elderly people is gathered in a room with Howard Michael Trudell in the far background, addressing the crowd. From the title of the sleeve I assume that this is a ribbon cutting for a new bank location at the Panorama retirement community. There are circular chandeliers on the ceiling with rectangular panel shaped fixtures on them. Frames 12-14 are three very similar photos of the ribbon cutting for the bank. There are 5 figures standing behind a ribbon. From left to right (fig.1) A woman smiling, wearing a lightly colored formal dress, she appears to be a bank employee as she is wearing a pre made nametag (all of the nametags are too far away to make out any names). To the right of fig.1 stands fig 2. Fig.2 is a smiling young woman with long hair, wearing a light-colored high-waisted dress. She is also wearing a crown and a Miss Thurston County sash. She is wearing a nametag that is illegible. To her right (fig.3) is Howard M Trudell. He is wearing a striped tie which may be connected with object# 2007-012.I411N. He is wearing a very similar outfit as what is described in that set of photos (thick rimmed glasses and striped tie). He is wearing a sticker nametag on his right lapel. To his right (fig.4) is Karen Frasier. She is wearing a dark women's suit jacket, a plaid skirt, glasses, and a large light colored bow tie. She is smiling. In frame 14 with a pair of scissors she cuts the ribbon that is in front of all the figures. To the right of her is fig.5. She is wearing a dark suit jacket with a lightly colored collar. In frame 12 and 13 she is not smiling, but is smiling in frame 14. She appears to be a bank employee and is wearing a premade nametag (illegible). To the right of all the figures is a sign reading "South Sound National Bank, Information Center, Just for you, hours 9:30 - 1:30 Monday through Friday, Can't come to us? Frame 39 two elderly women are in center frame. The woman on the left is wearing a patterned sweater vest, bent on one knee and placing a trowel into a small potted plant among a small tray of potted plants. The woman to her right is wearing a lightly colored leisure suit, standing above the other woman, holding a bare-root tomato plant in her left hand and a shovel in her right hand. She is looking down at the woman that is planting. Behind their left side is the trunk of a large tree and some ferns. Behind them is a brick sided building. In front of them is lawn. Frame 40 is almost identical to frame 39. Frame 41 is nearly the same as 40 but it is zoomed out a bit and the woman in the vest is using a tool to even compact the soil around the plants she just planted. Frame 42 and 43 are identical to frame 41.
