These 3 contact print strips were made for the Lacey Leader newspaper. The event showcased in these photos is the 1973 Panorama City flower show. The photos are all of elderly people posing with flowers that they have grown. Frames 21-28 are all very similar photos taken at the same angle of a group of elderly people posing with a variety of potted flowers on a table in front of them. All of the men in the photo are bald and everyone is wearing glasses. They appear to be standing under an open air metal roofed structure. Frames 29-31, a woman is in the foreground looking at the camera. She has gray hair, large glasses, a pearl necklace and is wearing a dark cardigan and a dress with a cyclone fencing pattern. She is holding a large white clematis flower. She is smiling in frame 31. Behind her is an apartment complex and a brick sided building. Frames 32-34 an elderly white-haired woman wearing browline glasses and a dark jacket with a light outer trim. She is holding a potted rose by its stem and smiling. She has a slightly different expression in each photo. Frame 35-37 an elderly bald man wearing browline glasses and a plaid suit is squatting on a sidewalk and holding a planted rose bush with his right hand. Each of the three photos is nearly identical. The bush is growing next to a brick wall. Behind him in the background is a lush garden.
