"The Trolley Car Family" written by Eleanor Clymer and illustrated by Ursula Koering was published in 1947 by the David McKay Company in conjuction with The Junior Literary Guild based in New York. It is 256 pages divided into 24 chapters with numerous black and white illustrations.
On the inside of the front cover at the top center is stamped in black ink "Lacey Elementary School Library Lacey, Washington". On the title page stamped at the top center in black ink is "Lacey Elementary School Library Lacey, Washington". At the bottom left corner of the page written in pencil parallel to the spine crease is "809" just to the right of it a white strip of paper has been adhered to the page parallel to the spine crease, on it is typed in black ink "7539". On page 256 at the bottom of page just under the ending illustration stamped in blue ink is "1395 1126 66". On the page opposite the back cover a manilla card sleeve has been adhered to the center of the page. the back piece of the sleeve has grid printed on it in black ink with "Date Due" at the top. On the grid dates ranging from "Oct 21 '66" to "Oct 6, '86" are stamped in blue, red, green, purple, and black ink. On the front of the card pocket is typed in black ink "809" over "Clymer Trolley Car Family" and to the right of that "F" over "Cl". Inside the card sleeve pocket is a white card with a grid printed in black on it with "Date Due" at the top. Stamped on the grid are the dates "May 16 '87" and "Oct. 20 '87". Written over the dates in pencil are the numbers 20, and 9. On the inside of the back cover at the top center in stamped in black ink "Lacey Elementary School Library Lacey, Washington"
Measuring 8" x 5.5" x 1" the book is bound in a coral colored hard cover and spine.
On the front cover at the enter top is stamped in black ink "The Trolley Car Family". The center of the cover has a depiction of six people walking toward a trolley are in the background and waving at two people in a horse-drawn buggy, stamped on in black, gray and white ink. Just below the picture is stamped in black ink "Eleanor Clymer".
On the spine near the top stamped in black ink running perpendicular to the length of the spine is "The Trolley Car Family Clymer" at the bottom of the spine in white ink is written "F" just over "Cl".
